A southwest Wisconsin man who crashed into a deer on his motorcycle late last month has died.
The Layfayette County Sheriff says 65-year old Danny Burkhalter of South Wayne passed away Tuesday at University Hospitals in Madison.
The accident happened on September 27th in the town of Wiota and Burkhalter was airlifted to U-W Hospital. His death marks the first traffic fatality of the year in Layfayette County.
