A Dubuque man has received a 50 year prison sentence for sexually abusing a child.
In February, 32-year old Fabian Swank was charged with more than 20 sex crimes and late last week entered a plea agreement and was sentenced on Monday in Dubuque County District Court.
The case began when a school resource officer and administrator became concerned that a middle school student was being groomed or was in an inappropriate relationship. The concerns arose after a teacher noticed inappropriate emails Swank and the student were sending back and forth on a school-issued laptop.
