Hy-Vee has announced it will donate $100,000 to Feeding America food banks in the region.
In Dubuque, local Hy-Vee’s are running a donation drive through November 9th due to an increase in people needing the food pantry.
Hy-Vee also gave $25,000 to DoorDash to waive delivery and service fees for customers that receive food assistance benefits.
Hy-Vee says it is part of the $70 million it has given out in food this year.
The donations come amid food security concerns during the government shutdown.
