A Dubuque teenager charged with attempted murder will face the charges in adult court.
17-year old Ahamad Atkins Junior was arrested last Friday in East Dubuque following the incident that morning in area of 17th and Jackson Streets. Atkins is accused of firing a handgun at 18-year old Kareem Sehwail following a fight in the alley. The bullet missed and struck the windshield of a parked vehicle.
Atkins has a preliminary hearing scheduled November 3rd.
Police say the investigation into the case continues and additional charges are likely.
