Trial for Chicago Man Charged with 2 Counts Attempted Murder Postponed to 2026

The trial date of a Chicago man who has pled not guilty to two counts attempted murder in a Dubuque shooting in 2022 has been postponed until next year.Tavon Baylock

25-year old Tavon Baylock was scheduled to stand trial this week in Dubuque County District Court, but has now been scheduled to begin January 13th.

Baylock is accused of being the shooter in a drive by shooting incident in June of 2022 in the area of West 23rd Street and Central Avenue. Police say Baylock fired several shots at two men in another vehicle. Neither of the men was injured. Bullet holes were found throughout the vehicle and also in some neighborhood buildings.
