A man will spend 10 years in prison after pleading guilty in connection to two Clinton fentanyl deaths. Jeremy Shine was sentenced to 10 years in prison for two counts of involuntary manslaughter and intent to deliver five grams or less of a mixture of fentanyl on Dec. 11, according to court documents. In November 2023, 43-year-old Scott Brown and 36-year-old Stephanie Banker were found unresponsive in a hotel room at the Wild Rose Casino. Clinton Police learned Shine sold pills to Brown, which contributed to his and Banker’s deaths. Shine will also have to pay $150,000 to Brown and Banker’s estates, officials said. He pleaded guilty to the charges in August, according to court documents.
