Elizabeth Man Charged with Child Pornography Offenses

An Elizabeth man has been charged with child pornography offenses. A press release from Jo Daviess County State’s Attorney, Chris Allendorf says 41 year old Jason Koester of rural Elizabeth, was arrested on Tuesday as a result of a statewide grand jury indictment issued on December 12 in the 15th Judicial Circuit Court of Illinois. The release says the c the offenses include: 3x counts of Dissemination of Child Pornography (Class X Felony-Mandatory Consecutive Sentences)
3x counts of Possession of Child Pornography (Class 2 Felony) 3x counts of Possession of Child Pornography (Class 3 Felony)
The dates of the offenses are July 3, 2024, and January 10, 2025. The State’s petition for pretrial detention was granted by Judge John Hay after a hearing on Wednesday. This case resulted from an investigation by the Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s Office and the Illinois Attorney General’s Internet Crimes Against Children taskforce.
