A Wisconsin man wounded and hospitalized after being shot during an incident on Christmas Eve has been arrested.
36-year old Promethius Brown of New Richmond, Wisconsin was shot in the chest during a scuffle at a home in the 800 block of West 5th Street early last Wednesday morning. Police arrested 57-year old Arthur Blakeley and 54-year old Cleshawn Hopes of Racine, Wisconsin in connection with the shooting.
Yesterday Brown was arrested after being discharged from the hospital accused of assaulting a woman earlier that night. Police say Blakeley and Hopes traveled to Dubuque and confronted Brown after hearing of the assault of the woman who is the daughter of Hopes. Brown was also wanted on an out of state warrant.
All three people are in the Dubuque County Jail.
