A man is accused of assaulting and threatening a woman with a knife outside a downtown business.
Police say 42-year old Danny Boyd faces charges including assault while displaying a dangerous weapon.
Police say around 11:15 yesterday morning the woman was with Boyd in a vehicle outside Tobacco Liquor and Gas located at 14-01 Central Avenue and ran from the vehicle when an officer arrived reporting she was threatened by Boyd with the knife and that he also grabbed and pulled her by the hair.
Authorities say a knife was located in the vehicle and that traffic camera footage confirmed the woman’s story.
Boyd was arrested and taken to the Dubuque County Jail.
