Two people have died in a house fire in southwest Wisconsin near Shullsburg.
The Layfayette County Sheriff says around 1:30 this morning they received a report of the fire at 17166 Dunbarton Road. Shullsburg, Gratiot, and Darlington fire crews were called to fight the blaze.
Once firefighters had extinguished the blaze, two people were found dead inside. The names of the victims haven’t been released. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Wisconsin State Fire Marshalls Office.
