Authorities have released the names of a husband and wife who died in a house fire on Tuesday morning near Shullsburg.
The Layfayette County Sheriff says Mark Curtis and Tammie Curtis, both 66-years old, died of inhalation of smoke and soot in the blaze. The couple had just moved into the house recently after living in South Wayne, Wisconsin.
The official cause of the fire is undetermined, but suspicions of wood burning heat and or electrical issues in the home are being looked at.
