One of the Republican candidates in the 2nd District Congressional race has pulled out .
Dubuque County State Representative Shannon Lundgren has announced she is suspending her campaign for congress to focus on her ongoing work in the Iowa House of Representatives and will seek reelection for a sixth term representing House District 65.
Lundgren’s withdrawal leaves two Republican candidates for the primary race on June 2nd: Charlie Mc Clintock and Joe Mitchell.
There are four Democrats running in the primary election: Lindsey James, Kathryn Dolter, Guy Morgan, and Clint Twedt-Ball. Running as an independent is Dave Bushaw.
