Asbury Home Destroyed by Fire

Fire Line Do Not Cross

An Asbury home has been destroyed by fire.  Yesterday morning shortly after 10, the Asbury Fire Department was called to 65-26 Asbury Road, a home online records show is owned by Michael and Katelyn Wolfe.

When crews arrived the home was fully involved with fire and smoke. The blaze was contained a little over three hours later and was ruled a total loss.   Everyone inside the home escaped safely and there were no injuries reported.  The home was valued at approximately 240-thousand dollars.  The Red Cross is assisting the family.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the State Fire Marshall, but does not appear to be suspicious.

Sherrill, Centralia-Peosta and Dubuque fire departments assisted in fighting the fire.
