A Dubuque man suffered serious injuries and faces criminal charges after he is accused of threatening another man with a pipe and then getting clubbed in the head.
The Dubuque County Sheriff says 49-year old Duane Roth of Dubuque was arrested yesterday following an investigation of an incident during the early morning hours of January 11th in the16-thousand block of Five Points Road.
Roth was found lying unconscious with a serious head injury and eventually was transferred to University Hospitals in Iowa City. Investigators say Roth threatened a man with the pipe before the other man defended himself striking Roth in the head with what was believed to be a car jack.
