A Dubuque man has been sentenced to jail time after being involved with a series of fights around Comiskey Park and an assault last summer.
21-year old Edwin Cruz who pled guilty in January to Participation in a Riot charges was given a five year jail sentence. As a part of his plea agreement, several other charges were dismissed.
Cruz was also arrested in June after the series of fights around Comiskey Park. He was also arrested in September for his role in the assault of man in the area of 22nd and Prince Streets. Cruz also reportedly threatened the man with a gun.
