The Sheriff in Jo Daviess County has announced he is retiring from the position effective Sunday.
Sheriff Craig Ketelsen says he is retiring after serving the county for 28 years as he is accepting a new position with the State of Illinois.
Ketelsen appointed Chief Deputy Klaus Kretschmer to fill the Sheriff duties starting on Monday.
