The city of Dubuque has approved laying down about 10 miles of fresh asphalt as part of the annual asphalt overlay program. Work on some projects can begin sometime in April.
The highest-profile repaving will begin in June with University Avenue between Gilliam Street and Delhi Street.
Asbury Road from Carter to Chaney and from University to Cherry is also on the schedule this year.
Many other city neighborhood streets will also be done through the summer including in the Point neighborhood by late August and in the North End by mid-September.
Officials say new roundabouts construction in the city is still several years out.
