This is Severe Weather Awareness Week in Iowa.  The week includes highlighting the importance of being prepared for all forms of severe weather.

 

 

Dubuque County Emergency Management Coordinator Tom Berger.

Berger says it’s important for families to practices their sheltering plan and have multiple ways to receive severe weather information during stormy weather.

The annual statewide tornado drill takes place Wednesday morning at 10 where outdoor warning sirens will be tested. Berger says when you hear those sirens during severe weather it’s important to get to shelter.
