The man suffered life threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle after crashing his vehicle. The Grant County Sheriff says it happened shortly after 10 o’clock Friday night on Highway 151 at Hill Climb Road near Dickeyville.
Authorities say 79-year-old Alan Hensiak, of Union Grove, Wisconsin hit a concrete barrier with his pick-up. Hensiak then reportedly got out of the vehicle, walked onto the highway and was hit by a vehicle driven by 66-year old Jeffery Weigel of Platteville.
Hensiak was first taken to Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque and then was later airlifted to University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City. There were no other injuries.
