The University of Northern Iowa has acted quickly in hiring a new men’s basketball coach.
UNI officials Kyle Green has been named to succeed Ben Jacobson who stepped down after 20 seasons to take the job at Utah State.
Green is a former UNI assistant who has been an assistant at Iowa State the past five seasons.
Green becomes the 26th head coach in program history after a coaching career that has spanned over 30 years across multiple NCAA divisions.
