A Dubuque woman has been arrested and charged with embezzling just over 47-hundred dollars by refunding transactions at the restaurant she worked at and then pocketing the cash.
Dubuque Police say 33-year old Marissa Kast who was an assistant manager at the Taco John’s on East 20th Street is accused of refunding 136 customer transactions between April and November of last year.
Investigators say they reviewed video footage over a 9 day span in October in which they say Kast was seen processing 27 refunded transactions at the cash register. She was arrested on Wednesday morning.
