Owen Michaels Inks Entry-Level Contract with Oilers

Saints

Former Fighting Saints forward Owen Michaels has signed a one-year entry-level contract with the Edmonton Oilers.

Michaels just finished up a standout career with the Western Michigan University Broncos, winning the 2025 National Championship and being named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player. Michaels skated for the Broncos for three seasons after finishing his junior career with the Fighting Saints in 2022-23.

Michaels is the third Fighting Saint to sign a professional contract since this spring following the NCAA season, joining Noah Powell (Philadelphia Flyers) and Kevin Reidler (Ottawa Senators).

The Fighting Saints play the final weekend of the regular season at home against Muskegon as they aim to lock up a first-round bye in the Eastern Conference Playoffs.
