Dubuque’s Town Clock in the heart Main Street would be visible at night following city council approval of a private effort to make it happen.
Last night the council voted unanimously to support the project spearheaded by civic group Dubuque Forward. The project will be privately funded but requires coordination with Dubuque Parks and Recreation. If all goes according to planned the project could be completed by this July 4th.
Under any agreement, the city would be responsible for long-term maintenance and electrical expenses.
