A northwest Illinois woman has died in a one vehicle crash in rural Jo Daviess County.
The county sheriff’s office says the crash happened Thursday afternoon around 4:45 on private property off of North Elizabeth Scales Mound Road, just south of County Road ‘O’.
Authorities say 81-year old Judith Winter of Scales Mound died in the accident after striking a garage, going down a hill, striking a utility pole, and then rolling down an embankment.
The crash remains under investigation.
