- The Hempstead boys and the Wahlert Girls claimed the team titles at last night’s Dubuque County Meet at Dalzell Field. In the boys meet Hempstead nipped Western Dubuque 147 to 145. In the girls Wahlert by one point over Western Dubuque 140-139.

Men’s Golf
The University of Dubuque won the 3 round American Rivers Conference championship yesterday at Glen Oaks Country Club in Des Moines winning by nine strokes over Nebraska Wesleyan.
Dyersville Beckman Catholic grad Luke Harwick broke the American Rivers Conference championship’s 54-hole record with an even-par 213 to win the individual title.
Dubuque also became the first school to win two consecutive A-R-C golf championships with both its men’s and women’s programs since 1989-90.
