- The American Rivers Conference Tournament opens today in Cedar Rapids. Game 1: Loras College the number 6 seed will face number 3 seed Simpson at 11:00 am at Mount Mercy. The winner meets #2 seed Coe this evening at Veterans Memorial Stadium. The loser plays again this afternoon at Mount Mercy against the loser of the Wartburg-Central contest.

- The UNI Panthers advanced to day two of the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament. After a loss to Illinois State in game one 7-6, the Panthers mounted a comeback in the opening round’s elimination game to knock out the Evansville 11-7.
