5/22-St. Louis Style Slow Cooker Ribs

St. Louis Style Slow Cooker Ribs

4-7 lbs. St. Louis Style Pork Ribs

Your favorite BBQ Sauce or grab some from Cremer’s

Beef stock

Rub:

2 tbsp. paprika

1 tbsp. smoked paprika

2 tbsp. brown sugar

1 tbsp. black pepper

1 tbsp. kosher salt

1 tsp. garlic powder

1 tsp. onion powder

1 tsp. cayenne pepper

1 tbsp. chili powder

Whisk all of the rub ingredients together in an air tight container.

Remove the silverskin from the back of your ribs.  Rinse and pat dry ribs with paper towels.    Rub the pork ribs with pork rub liberally all over.  Cover with plastic wrap or aluminum foil and refrigerate 4-8 hours, or overnight.

Pour some beef stock in the bottom of the slow cooker, just enough to cover the bottom. Add the ribs.  You may need to cut them to fit in the slow cooker, or stand them on their sides.  Pour some of the BBQ sauce over the ribs and between the ribs.  Cover and cook the ribs on low 8 hours.  Remove from the slow cooker, tent for 10 minutes with foil and cut to serve.  Serve with additional BBQ sauce.
