Two people were hurt in a three-vehicle crash Thursday morning on Highway 151 near Airport Road in Jamestown Township, just outside Platteville.
The Grant County Sheriff says the collision happened around 9:30 when a vehicle driven by 19-year-old Lilyan Gruntorad of Dewitt, Iowa going at a speed estimated at over 70 miles per hour slammed into the rear of a highway department truck. Her vehicle then crossed the centerline and collided with an oncoming SUV driven by 63-year-old Teresa Pluemer of Platteville.
Both Gruntorad and Pluemer were taken by ambulance to Southwest Health in Platteville. No highway workers were injured in the crash.
