IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — Owen Freeman matched his career-best with 22 points and Iowa cruised to a 104-57 win over New Orleans on Sunday. Iowa (8-3) shot 62.7% from the field for the game (42 of 67), including 14 of 29 from beyond the arc. The Hawkeyes amassed 28 assists on 42 made baskets.
AMES, Iowa (AP) — Keshon Gilbert scored 16 points to help lead No. 3 Iowa State to an 83-51 win over Omaha. The Cyclones started the game going back and forth with Omaha after committing eight turnovers but were able to get on track after ending the half on a 20-2 run.

EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Julia Ayrault had 19 points, Nyla Hampton scored 13 in the fourth quarter and the No. 17 Michigan State women stunned No. 21 Iowa with a huge fourth-quarter run on the way to a 68-66 victory in a Big Ten opener.
AMES, Iowa (AP) — Audi Crooks scored 30 points. Addy Brown added 20 points and 11 rebounds and No. 18 Iowa State never trailed as the Cyclones beat Eastern Illinois 87-55 for their 11th consecutive home win.
