Some area Dubuque County Firemen were called to a barn fire near Holy Cross. The Dubuque County Sheriff says around 9:45 Sunday morning, fire crews from Holy Cross, New Vienna, and Sherill were called to the Bradley Kluesner Farm on Ridge Road.
Fire officials say they were burning brush on the property and some of the embers spread to the barn causing it to catch on fire. Firefighters were able to keep the blaze from spreading to other nearby structures. Damage to the barn and hay inside it was estimated at $10-thousand dollars. There were no injuries and no livestock harmed.
