The National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium in the Port of Dubuque celebrated a ribbon cutting ceremony yesterday to mark a recent renovation.
The William Woodward Mississippi River Center recently completed an expansion of the Jim and Jean Gantz Otter Habitat, giving more dry land outdoor space for the otters, an outdoor aviary containing heron and other waterfowl, with more species to come.
The recent additions are part of the museum’s nearly $13 million dollar Preserve the Wonder capital campaign launched in 2023.
