Strong Storms/Flooding Concerns Today

It’s a good day to be weather aware. Following yesterday’s torrential rainfall around the Dubuque area, more heavy rain with possible severe weather is in the forecast.

The National Weather Services has issued a Flood Watch for most of Eastern Iowa and Northwest Illinois. Forecasters says  repeated rounds of storms today through early Saturday are forecast with rain totals between 1  to 3 or more inches falling in a short amount of time causing flash flooding and flooding.

Yesterday the area received between 1 and 3 inches of rain creating some flash flooding in Dubuque, Jackson, Jones, and Jo Daviess Counties last night.
