A Mineral Point man was arrested after he crashed his vehicle and then allegedly stole another vehicle.
The Layfayette County Sheriff says the incident happened shortly before 2 on Saturday morning. Authorities say 26-year old Zachary Smith-Titley lost control of his vehicle on Prairie Road in Kendall Township and struck a power pole. Authorities say Smith-Titley then walked away from the crash and went to a nearby residence where he stole a jeep. He was later located in Mineral Point and taken to jail.
Smith-Titley faces a number of charges including Operating While Intoxicated.
