The trial date for a Sherrill man charged with attempted murder has been postponed until this fall. 19-year old Domani Stevenson was scheduled to stand trial beginning this week. The trial now is scheduled to begin October 21st in Dubuque County District Court.
Stevenson is accused in the May 4th assault and shooting of 29-year old Excell Moore in the 400 block of Rhomberg Avenue in Dubuque. A police investigation showed Moore was attacked by four men who had gotten out of a vehicle. He was treated at the hospital for gunshot wounds to a hand and leg.
Three others were also arrested and charged with participation in a riot and willful injury causing bodily injury. 20-year old Dontrell Harris of Dubuque has a plea hearing scheduled for next week and 20-year old Davion Harris of Dubuque is scheduled to stand trial September 2nd. A 17-year old male was also charged.
