The Clinton Herald reports a Dubuque man was taken into custody yesterday in connection with several reports of shots fired at a Clinton R-V Park.
Clinton Police say 66-year old Michael Kalmes now faces several charges which include intimidation with a dangerous weapon with the intent to injure or provoke fear.
Kalmes was arrested by Clinton Police during a traffic stop yesterday morning. Officers recovered a loaded 22-caliber rifle from his vehicle.
Kalmes reportedly admitted to law enforcement confronted his estranged wife and firing the weapon in the air.
Officers also located a shell casing near the location of the incident.
