City Council Postpones Decision Funding Denver Air Minimum Guarantee

The Dubuque City Council decided to delay a decision on whether city tax dollars should be used to subsidize commercial flights at Dubuque Regional Airport.

The council is considering using up to 1-point-6 million dollars from the general fund to support the minimum revenue guarantee needed for Denver Air Connections daily flights to O’Hare Airport in Chicago.

Nearly two million dollars in federal grant dollars to support the minimum revenue guarantee has been used up so the council is looking for answers in how to continue the guarantee.

Following debate last night the council decided to postpone a decision until their meeting on October 6th.
