A southwest Wisconsin man was critically injured in a weekend motorcycle accident.
The Layfayette County Sheriff says the crash happened Saturday morning around 11 on County Road ‘N’ in Wiota.
Authorities say the cycle operated by 65-year old Danny Burkhalter of South Wayne hit a deer and he was thrown from the cycle and landed in the roadway.
Burkhalter had to be airlifted to U-W Hospitals in Madison with what were called life threatening injuries.
