Dubuque Primary Election Final Results

Primary Election Results in Dubuque.  Today’s results determine the two candidates nominated to appear on the Regular City Election Ballot on November 4^th.  The two races today were for Mayor and for City Council Ward One and each had three candidates.

MAYOR

• (I) Brad Cavanaugh top vote getter with 2820 votes or 55%

• Jason Davis 2^nd most votes and advanced to city election with 1921 votes or 37%

• Deb Borley had 386 votes or 7.5 %

CITY COUNCIL WARD 1

• Tyson Leyendecker had the leading vote total with 848 or 48%

• Carmen Hernandez had the 2^nd most votes and advance to the city election with 824 or 47 %

• DeLano Cain-Watson had 85 votes or 5%

There were 1174 absentee ballots turned in before today’s election and 13 % voter turnout.
