Museum of Art Ground Breaking for New Campus

The Dubuque Museum of Art will be breaking ground on their new downtown campus today in the 700 block of Locust Street.

The ground breaking ceremony will begin at 5:15pm and is open to the public. Remarks by the design architects, Dubuque Mayor Brad Cavanagh, and others will be made during the event.

When completed the $69-millon dollar project will include an educational courtyard, outdoor sculpture gardens, community galaries, café and more.

The museum is temporarily located in the Dupaco Voices Building on Jackson Street until construction is completed.
