- At the Iowa High School State Volleyball Tournament in Coralville 5th ranked Dyersville Beckman Catholic suffered a heartbreaker in the quarterfinals losing 3-2 to #4 Grundy Center who pulled a reverse sweep to advance to the semi-finals.
- In the Illinois 1A Sectional Semi-Finals Galena advanced to the final with a 2-1 victory over Aurora Christian to set up a rematch with Stockton who defeated Newark 2-0. The final will be Thursday evening in Lanark
