A court ordered Sheriff’s Sale of the Grand Harbor Resort and Waterpark in the Port of Dubuque is scheduled to take place at 9 ‘clock this Tuesday morning at the Dubuque County Law Enforcement Center.
The current owner Platinum Holdings defaulted on a $9.5 million loan and the court has ordered the property sold to satisfy the debt. The City of Dubuque, which owns the land and leases it to Platinum Holdings has received interest from potential new owners who are willing to invest in the property.
The hotel and waterpark are expected to remain open during and after the ownership transfer.
