The Dubuque City Council will meet for the first time in the new year this evening and with two new faces at the council table.
New First Ward councilman Tyson Leyendecker and new At-Large councilman Chris Staver who both won election in November begin their terms tonight.
Leyendecker who was a guest on KDTH Voices of the Tri-States last week says he looks forward to helping the city quickly move forward.
One of the items on the council agenda will be asking approval for $1.4 million dollars in public assistance to aid a new condo project in the Millwork District.
Local developer GT Novelty Condos, LLC, wants to construct 34 condos inside the Novelty Iron Works building at 11th and Washington streets.
