Three area fire departments battled a fire this afternoon that destroyed the tavern at the Airline Inn on Highway 61 just south of Dubuque.
Authorities say around 2:45 this afternoon firefighters from Key West, Dubuque, and East Dubuque were called on the report of flames coming from the building. The building was declared a total loss estimated at around $190-thousand dollars.
There were no injuries reported.
The cause of what started the fire is being investigated.
