Boys State Swimming
At the Iowa High School Boys State Swimming Meet in Iowa City yesterday: Hempstead finished 7th in the team race scoring 135 points and Dubuque Senior took 14th with 82. Iowa City West claimed the team title with 224.
District Wrestling Results
In district wrestling yesterday qualifying for the state meet at the Casey’s Center in Des Moines this week:
Class 3A: Western Dubuque had seven wrestlers qualify while Hempstead advanced five and Senior advanced three to state.
Class 1A: Cascade and Dyersville Beckman Catholic landed four each and Bellevue with one qualifier.
Class 2A: Wahlert failed to qualify any wrestlers for state. Maquoketa has one wrestler.
