It’s Championship Saturday at the Iowa State High School Wrestling Tournament at the Caseys Center in Des Moines beginning at 9 this morning with the consolation semi-finals and then finals in all three classes. The State championship matches will be this evening starting at 5:15pm with awards, the Grand March, and then the finals. Area wrestlers competing today:

Last night Smith defeated Brandon Bogseth of Ankeny Centennial in the semis 13-1 to advance to the state championship match. Smith faces Lincoln Jipp of Bettendorf for a state championship tonight.
