A former southwest Wisconsin correctional officer has been arrested following an investigation into misconduct during his employment.
The Iowa County Sherriff says 33-year old Adam Rice who served four years as a correctional officer is accused of felony charges of falsifying records and acting inconsistent with duties.
Concerns were initially raised by Iowa County team members about documentation not being consistent with standard procedures, leading to a review.
The investigation of Rice was done in cooperation with the Sauk County Sheriff’s Department to ensure transparency and impartiality.
Rice is being held in the Sauk County Jail awaiting a bond hearing.
