Southwestern Takes Silver Ball at State Tournament
At the Wisconsin High School Boys State Basketball Tournament at Kohl Center in Madison, the Southwestern Wildcats fell in the Division 5 state championship game to top seed Reedsville 56-48.
Three Wildcats seniors Aiden Keleher, Cayden DeMuth, and Remi Lawrence led Southwestern in scoring with 13 points each.
Southwestern finished the season with a record of 24-and-7.
NCAA Basketball Tournament
- Illinois advanced to the Sweet 16 with a win over VCU 76-55 and will face #2 seed Houston on Thursday
- #2 seed Iowa State meets #7 seed Kentucky. Cyclone All-American Joshua Jefferson is unlikely to play due to sprained ankle suffered in the opening minutes of Iowa State’s blowout win over Tennessee State.

- Dubuque split at Buena Vista winning 13-1 and losing 11-1
- Loras lost twice at Central 9-7 and 9-5.
- Clarke swept Graceland 18-2 and 3-2.
Softball
- Dubuque swept Beloit College 13-0 and 9-2
- Clarke swept Peru State 10-1 and 6-3
- NICC split with Ellsworth winning 10-4 and losing 4-3.
Men’s Lacrosse
- Dubuque 20, Marian University 1
- Clarke 7, Midland 6 (2OT)
Men’s Tennis
- Dubuque lost to Cornell 7-0 and Bethany Lutheran 6-1.
Men’s Volleyball
- Loras defeated top ranked Carthage 3-2.
