A Jo Daviess County man has died in a one vehicle crash near Elizabeth.
The Jo Daviess County Sheriff says just after four Monday afternoon they were called to East Skene Road, just west of Massbach Road on the report of a vehicle going into the ditch.
Authorities say a pick-up driven by 18-year old Dayan Havens was going too fast and hit loose gravel sending the vehicle out of control. going airborne over an embankment and rolling over multiple times. Authorities say passenger 21-year old Jordan Havens died after being thrown from inside the vehicle.
Dayan Havens was taken to Mercy Hospital in Dubuque with what were described as non-life threatening injuries. The accident remains under investigation.
