The Telegraph Herald reports on a 2-1 vote, the Dubuque County supervisors approved a budget and the county tax levy for the next fiscal year.
County residents who live in incorporated cities will see roughly 11 cents added to their county tax rate going to $5.73 per $1,000 of taxable value.
The total tax levy rate is unchanged from this fiscal year, however, the countywide levy rate is increased. Dubuque County Budget Director Stella Runde says for residents whose property did not change in assessed value this year, tax bills will be lower next fiscal year.
