The Iowa Football Coaches Association has announced all-state football players.
3A state semi-finalist Wahlert Catholic had five players selected to the 3A all-state teams: defensive lineman John Berning and linebacker Noah Krapfl were selected for first-team defense honors. JP Elbert, Brody Schumacher and Anderson Herbst were named to the second team offense.
Hempstead record setting running back Jaden Montgomery was a second team choice in Class 5A.
Bellevue’s Keenan Kilburg was a Class 2A first team choice while teammate Cal Bonifas landed second team honors.
